Loggerhead sea turtles

Status: Endangered

Loggerhead turtles are distributed world-wide. In Australia they mainly nest on sub-tropical beaches in Queensland and Western Australia.

Loggerhead turtles are carnivores and have an extremely strong jaw associated with their large head. They feed on hard-shelled prey such as crabs and shellfish.
